Flax Reasearch

Flax fiber is extracted from the bast or skin of the stem of the flax plant. Flax fiber is soft, lustrous and flexible. It is stronger than cotton fiber but less elastic. The best grades are used for linen fabrics such as damasks, lace and sheeting. Coarser grades are used for the manufacturing of twine and rope. Flax fiber is also a raw material for the high-quality paper industry for the use of printed banknotes and rolling paper for cigarettes.

Reflection Term 2 Week 7

This week i have worked on my mold, i have nearly finished my mold (i found out i have 6 pieces not 5). I think we are going to do a little more work on solid works some time soon but i'm not 100% sure when.

next week i plan to be completely finished on my mold and start to putting it together. i also want to check my stringer at some point soon

Reflection Term 2 Week 6

This week we have had DTM once, that was today (Wednesday) and we are on computers today so i still haven't had the chance to check if its 5 or 6 pieces on my mold, Friday should be the day for that =]. I have caught up on my blogs today and i also have started to look at solid works a bit more into this lesson. I think we are doing our boards agian, just so we can use solid works like how we use google (just an example.)

next week i plan to do alot more on my practicle and get things done. lets hope i stick to it

Reflection Term 2 week 5

I have mainly been working on solid works this week, getting more fluent with the program, it helps that i have it at home, but to tell you the truth i haven't been bothered to make the effort at home yet to play around with it.

Next week is a hard one because Monday is Queens Birthday weekend and we miss out on our double on Monday, so I'm not to sure when i can do more pracital but i think we are doing some on Friday, well i hope so

Reflection Term 2 Week 4

This week Ive cut out my mold into 5 or 6 pieces for my mold, to tell you the truth i cant remember and i will check next time we are doing practical. i have been abit lazy lately with my blog site and so on. I plane to work harder from now on and get things done when i have to, i don't want to fall behind

What i have done this week is work on my blog, not overly much but Ive still done some work on it. ive done some work on my mold and i plan to do more work on it next week
